I get excited when I see elegant and usable products that solve deeply technical problems.
Why Venture Capital?
Venture Capital allows me to be in a constant state of learning. I meet the founders who are trying to solve critical industry-wide challenges. I learn about their unique perspective on a problem and work with them to scale their solution. In particular, I get excited when I see elegant and usable products that solve deeply technical problems.
Experience
Prior to VC, my background was in product management and data science. I was a product manager at Databricks for Workspace, the enterprise data science platform, and Koalas, a new open source project that makes big data simple on Python. At Turo, I built the identity fraud model, which drastically reduced the rate of stolen cars. I have also worked on search at Amazon and as a PM at Pared.
Education
- B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford University
- M.S. in Management Science and Engineering with a focus on Computational Social Science from Stanford University
Outside of Work
I’ve spent the past few years experimenting with espresso and drip coffee equipment. While I’m not an expert, I love to make recommendations to my friends and help them with their setup so that they are on the path to coffee nirvana. I enjoy experiencing new places through food and have a list of restaurants I’d like to try in my lifetime. When I’m not eating or drinking coffee, I play in a rec league basketball team and can talk NBA stats at length to anyone willing to listen.
