Neill Occhiogrosso

Neill aims to identify companies that use software to create a more efficient and productive world.

Why Venture Capital?

I believe software has the unique ability to solve problems at radical scale. This is why I like to invest in companies building infrastructure that enables it.

Before Costanoa, I was an investor at Investor Growth Capital, where I led investments in Maxymiser, HireVue, Conductor, Acquia, and Guavus. Before IGC, I spent four years at Highland Capital Partners focused on the firm’s B2B tech investments, including Gigamon, VMTurbo, and Ocarina Networks. I began my career as an engineer turned product manager at InnaPhase, a laboratory-information-management-system vendor acquired by Thermo Electron.

  • B.S. in Computer Science at Duke University; graduated in three years and published research on data structures and computational geometry
  • MBA from the Wharton School with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship

Outside of Work

I love spending time with my daughter, Elena, and wife, Ana. Fun fact: Occhiogrosso means “big eye.”
