Why Venture Capital?
Venture Capital allows me to be in a constant state of learning. I dive deep into new industries and talk to experts in their field. But best of all, I get to meet the founders who are trying to solve critical industry-wide challenges. I learn about their unique perspective on a problem and work with them to scale their solution.
Prior to joining Costanoa, I was a Product Manager at Databricks for Workspace, the enterprise data science platform, and Koalas, a new open source project that makes big data simple on Python. At Turo, I built the identity fraud model, which drastically reduced the rate of stolen cars. I have also worked at A9 and Pared.
B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science and M.S. in Management Science and Engineering with a focus on Computational Social Science from Stanford University
Outside of Work
I’ve spent the past few years experimenting with espresso and drip coffee equipment. While I’m not an expert, I love to make recommendations to my friends and help them with their setup so that they are on the path to coffee nirvana. I enjoy experiencing new places through food and have a list of restaurants I’d like to try in my lifetime. When I’m not eating or drinking coffee, I play in a rec league basketball team and can talk NBA stats at length to anyone willing to listen.
